Chantelle played a major part in the Crossfire Kennels breeding program, being the mother of Crossfire Caddie Shack, who is in numerous pedigrees via her famous sons Crossfire Cruise Missile, Crossfire Claim To Fame (Trapper) and Karlrach Combination to mention only a few.

Chantelle came to Masterton Kennels for a while as a youngster and obtained her Australian Championship title with ease.  Chantelle then returned to Crossfire Kennels for maternal duties.  After Chantelle had retired from breeding she came to live in Queensland and lived here with her daughter Crossfire Camelot, my Dad and myself for the rest of her life.  She was very much a house dog and loved her comfort being found many times asleep on the bed.  Chantelle passed many hints if she was cold by lying in front of the fire and looking at us with those beautiful eyes until we relented and switched the fire on for her.

Chantelle was never any trouble and was a pleasure to live with.  Unfortunately, Chantelle lost her will to live once she lost her best friend Cammie and lost her battle with life about 6 months after Cammie passed away.
